Careers in Information Technology

-Webmaster
A Webmaster is also called a web architect, web developer. site author, website administrator, or webmistress for females.

Webmaster is the one who in charge of maintaining or contraolling a Web site. Webmaster included writing HTML for web pages, organizing the web site's structure, responding to e-mails about the web site and keeping the site up-to-date.

Webmaters well-versed in web transaction software, payment-processing software and also security software. Webmasters also deal with some high volumes of email, important web and computer-related questions.

Webmaster typically understand langueges such as javascript, PHP and Perl and configure web servers such as Apache or IIS.



-Computer Support Specialist
Computer support specialists help people use computers. They figure out why when something goes wrong and try to fix it.

Computer support specialists provide technacal assistance, support and advice on information technology. They provide support services on a contract basis, such as help-desk service firms.

They also indentify, solving, install, modify, clean, and repair computer hardware, software and other computer tools.

Computer support specialist are usually differentiated between technical support specialists and help-desk technicians.



-Techical Writer
A Techical Writer is also called a technical communication. Professional writer who designs, creates, and maintains technical documentation.

The person who responsible for writing hardware and software documentation, online help, technical definitions and technical product descriptions on web sites.

Techinacal writer is to communicate scientific and technical information to other people using easily understandable language.



-Software Engineer
Software Engineer is a professional engineer with licensed who schooled, skilled in the application of engineering to the creation of software.

Example, computer chips, work. Software Engineer is the one who applies the principles of software engineering to the design, development, testing and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers containing software.

Software Engineer also held accountable to a specific code of ethics.




-Network Administrator
Network administration is an arduous task. The administrator's responsibilities often involve many different aspects and such tasks.

Network Administrator is a professional in charge of the maintenance of the computer hardware and software systems that make up a computer network.

Activities that includes such as the deployment, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of active network equipment.  Management, troubleshooting, backup and storage, documentation, security and virus prevention as well as managing users.



-Database Administrator
Database Administrator is the one who directs or performs all activities related to maintaining a successful database environment.

Database Administrator is expected to stay abreast of emerging technologies and new design approaches.

Responsibilities include implementing, maintaining and designing the database system. Establishing policies and procedures pertaining to the management, security, maintenance and use of the database management system.



-System Analyst 
A System Analyst is the person who selects and configures computer systems for an organization or business.

Responsible for the designing of the new system/application. Also required to perform as a programmer, writes the code to implement the design of the proposed application.

System Analyst must have a solid understanding of computer hardware and keep  update on all the latest technologies.



-Programmer
A Programmer is someone who writes computer software.

They conceive, design and test logical structures for solving problem by computer.

Programmer's primary computer language ( C, C++, Java, Lips, Delphi etc.) is often prefixed to the above titles, and those who work in a web environment often prefix their titles with web.
